A beautiful little hotel in the centre of Bath, with a great bar used by tourists and locals alike, making you feel you were part of a community. We loved it!
the bed and linen were excellent
the bathroom needs renewing and there was a smell of drains
Modernised pub on the ground floor. A pleasant place seemingly operated by young staff eager to oblige. Unfortunately did not do evening meals but plenty of other places around.
Rooms were comfortable and facilities/food were good. Staff were helpful and courteous. Location is great for a city visit, close to all transport links.
Stairs are a bit steep after a few drinks! this did not take anything away from the hotel, it's also part of the charm of an old building.
The breakfast was excellent. Simple and fresh. The staff were extremely helpful.....really wish we had stayed for longer so that we could enjoy more of the food. The cheese choices looked delicious. The beds were very clean and comfortable.
Shower curtains.....just because I don't like shower curtains. The low ceilings in our attic would be a problem if you were staying for more than one night.
good quality accommodation helpful and jolly staff great breakfast and top ale!
friendly staff with relaxed atmosphere, excellent breakfasts, great selection of beers, quiet but v close to all facilities of city, comfortable room. Very much an individual hotel, almost anarchic at times - v diff from the standardised and predicatble food, facilities etc of chain hotels which was why we liked it and would go again.
The staff were the most accommodating, hospitable, warm, fun group that we have experienced in quite a while.
The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, the bar area was great with a nice selection of beers and board games to pass the time when the rain came. It is very well located to explore the city and the main car park is less than 5 minutes walk away.
The low ceilings in the room will cause trouble for anyone over 6' 4"
I loved that this Inn. The staff was so very helpful and nice. Also the location is absolutely perfect for someone wanting to be close to pretty much everything!
Helpful and charming staff. Sweet local pub (with great beer) was a unique base for our visit to Bath. Super convenient location for exploring the city on foot. Excellent breakfast served in the pub's back room.
The staff were excellent and dealt with enquiries and showed us to our room.
The room was extremely small and thank heavens we only had hand luggage as we wouldn't have fitted in!! The bathroom adequate but again very small. Not much air coming through the window, hence why an electric fan was placed on the bedside which was already running when we entered the room (and stayed on throughout) £90 a night was rather a high price to pay, although it was in a good location. We stayed for one night and it was adequate. The breakfast was excellent.
The room was a bit small and there were a good few feathers on the bedroom carpet when we arrived which could have been tidied up before we arrived. Not a problem but made the room look a little untidy when in fact it wasn'T.
The staff were exceptional, friendly, warm and nothing whatsoever was too much trouble! The location was superb, absolutely near everything. The hotel itself was lovely, excellent decor throughout. The rooms were on the small side, and ours overlooked the "secret garden" which was a little noisy if you go to bed early....... However, you are away for the weekend, and the inn itself was well worth staying in! The breakfast was good and set us up for the day
Just the room location above the secret garden. Everything else was fantastic.
It was small, quirky & very different! The breakfasts were a delight, as was the small dining room.
Small, steep stairs lead from the pub & dining room to the bedrooms, so do not stay here if you have trouble climbing stairs.
